The Story Behind JP Designs

Hi, I’m Jennifer Proctor, Principal Interior Designer and Owner of JP Designs. I work with homeowners, builders and businesses to create functional, timeless spaces that are thoughtfully planned from floor plans to finishes.

My path to interior design began while building my own home in Calgary in 2009. I became immersed in reworking layouts, customizing spaces, selecting finishes and planning every detail. After several years in Calgary’s oil and gas industry, I returned to school full time and earned my Bachelor of Interior Design with Distinction. I later became a LEED Green Associate.

I founded JP Designs in Halifax in 2020 and eventually returned home to Winnipeg, where I was born and raised. Today, I serve clients in Winnipeg and select Manitoba communities while continuing to work virtually with clients in Nova Scotia and across Canada.

Whether I am designing a renovation, custom home or commercial space, my goal is to make the process clear, collaborative and well organized. Every design decision considers how the space will function, how it will be used and how it should feel for the people who experience it every day.
